Eagles on Thanksgiving
Thanks, NFL. I’m so happy you decided to break the tradition and have the Eagles play the Cardinals on Thanksgiving night. It’s so awesome that you put them game on the NFL Network so now I cannot watch it. Awesome.
The Eagles 2008-2009 schedule came out yesterday, and I’m more than a little worried. Where are all the easy games? Every week looks like a tough matchup. Some people think all the attention they are getting by having nationally televised games is a good thing, because that means they think they Eagles are going to be good (and therefore people will want to watch them). Personally, I think all the teams in the NFC East take enough of a beating that they don’t need any more high profile games. It is just me or is the whole scheduling process getting weird?
I just heard on 610 yesterday, on the midday show, that they are thinking about making everyone’s last 3 games of the season all against division opponents. I guess I like that idea, because those games mean more and the best teams usually are the ones finishing strong. I hate when a team squeaks in after losing to some good teams because they racked up wins early in the season. Every week is important in the NFL, and each game is critical to a team’s playoff hunt.
Check out the schedule on their web site.
